Dial Hit With Class Suit Over Antibacterial Soaps

Law360, New York (May 6, 2011, 9:04 PM EDT) -- A New York man hit The Dial Corp. with a putative class action Thursday alleging the company's claims that its Dial Complete products are more effective and safer than soap and water are deceptive.

The suit, filed in New York federal court, says the Dial Complete products claim to kill virtually all bacteria and reduce disease transmission more effectively than other soaps despite having no "independent, competent and reliable support" for the claims.
