Air Force Escapes $64M Airfield Lighting Contract Fight

Law360, New York (May 9, 2011, 7:02 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Federal Claims announced Wednesday that it had nixed Patriot Taxiway Industries Inc.'s challenge to the award of a $64 million U.S. Air Force lighting system contract to competitor Tactical Lighting Systems Inc.

In an opinion issued under seal on April 22, Judge Mary Ellen Coster Williams entered judgment in favor of the government and intervenor Tactical, concluding that the Air Force did not violate any law or deprive Patriot of a fair opportunity to compete for the disputed airfield lighting contract....
