Patent Lawsuits Filed Over Tracking Services

Law360, New York (May 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas-based company has filed two lawsuits against rivals, alleging infringement of its patents for wireless tracking services.

LunarEye Inc., which provides wireless tracking and control systems, filed a suit Thursday against WebTech Wireless Inc. and another against AirIQ Inc. and CalAmp in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

The suit against AirIQ alleges that it is infringing four LunarEye patents for a triggerable location-reporting apparatus. The suit alleges the companies are selling products that incorporate items protected by the patents....
