Witness Tells Jury Money Was On Blagojevich's Mind

Law360, New York (May 17, 2011, 8:01 PM EDT) -- A government witness in the corruption retrial of Rod Blagojevich told jurors Tuesday that he took money from jailed fundraiser Tony Rezko while working for the then-Illinois governor and that the men discussed moneymaking schemes.

Alonzo "Lon" Monk was on the stand as Blagojevich again faces charges including trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama after the 2008 presidential election and pocket the money.
