Wham-O Whacks Goodwin Procter With Excessive Fees Suit

Law360, New York (May 17, 2011, 7:32 PM EDT) -- Slip ‘N Slide maker Wham-O Inc. sued Goodwin Procter LLP in California state court on Monday, claiming the law firm's $5 million bill for representation in a trademark and unfair competition dispute over outdoor water slides was excessive and breached their engagement agreement.

In a complaint filed in California state court, Wham-O called the legal fees "excessive, unreasonable and not necessary" and said the firm did not adhere to a September 2008 contract.
