FBI Agent Charged With Lying to Protect Fraud Source

Law360, New York (May 17, 2011, 9:45 PM EDT) -- An FBI agent was arrested Tuesday on charges he allegedly lied about the criminal history of a New York mortgage fraud investigation source with whom he was having a sexual relationship and about helping her lawyer in her identity theft trial.

Adrian Busby, 37, surrendered to federal authorities in Texas. An indictment unsealed Tuesday in New York federal court charged him with two counts of making false statements in connection with the source, who remained unnamed by the U.S. Department of Justice.
