2 Belgians Indicted For Smuggling Aircraft Parts To Iran

Law360, New York (May 18, 2011, 2:47 PM EDT) -- Two Belgian nationals have been charged with conspiring to smuggle millions of dollars worth of aircraft supplies into Iran, according to an indictment unsealed Tuesday.

Willy De Greef and Frederic Roland Nicolas Depelchin — along with their companies Meca Airways Ltd. and Meca Overseas Airways Ltd. — were indicted on 15 felony charges of illegal smuggling along with an additional two counts of making false statements to the U.S. government over the operation, according to U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California Laura Duffy....
