Bogart's Estate Settles Furniture Trademark Suit

Law360, New York (May 18, 2011, 2:13 PM EDT) -- The estate of movie star Humphrey Bogart on Monday asked a federal court in California to drop its trademark lawsuit accusing retailers of selling an unauthorized furniture line called Bogart, saying the parties had reached a settlement.

The owner of the "Casablanca" star's intellectual property rights requested that the court dismiss its suit over the Bogart furniture line, saying it had reached an agreement that resolved its claims against Plummers Inc., Scandinavian Designs Inc. and Dania Inc.
