$64M Verdict Against Cisco Stands In Commil IP Case

Law360, New York (May 23, 2011, 1:19 PM EDT) -- A Texas judge on Friday declined to disturb a jury's $63.8 million infringement verdict against Cisco Systems Inc. in a case brought by Commil USA LLC over a wireless networking patent.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham IV denied Cisco's motions for judgment as a matter of law on infringement and damages and entered final judgment in the case, setting the stage for Cisco to appeal.
