Northwest Wants Report Kept Under Wraps

Law360, New York (May 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An examiner appointed by the bankruptcy court to investigate allegations that Northwest Airlines Corp. is considering a merger behind shareholders’ backs has asked that his report be kept confidential at the behest of the airline.

The court-appointed examiner, Richard Nevins, has moved for authorization from U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Allan Gropper to file the report under seal, saying the airline fears the leaking of "highly sensitive" information.
