Workers Accuse Butterball Of Foul Play On Wages

Law360, New York (May 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A class action suit accusing turkey processing company Butterball LLC of refusing to pay overtime and back wages was moved from state court to federal court on Friday.

The case was originally filed in North Carolina’s Wayne County Superior Court, but Butterball, a joint enterprise of Maxwell Farms Inc. and Smithfield Foods Inc., requested that it be removed to the district court.
