Field Reps Hit Nielsen With OT Class Action

Law360, New York (May 25, 2011, 8:15 PM EDT) -- A field representative for a subsidiary of The Nielsen Co. Inc. filed a proposed class action in Florida on Wednesday claiming the television ratings researcher forced him and his colleagues to work in excess of 40 hours per week without proper compensation.

Jorge Salamanca, a Nielsen employee since 2000, filed suit against TNC (US) Holdings Inc. under the Fair Labor Standards Act, claiming the company improperly compensated about 50 to 100 employees in Florida who performed technician tasks.
