Belkin, Target Face Class Suit Over MP3 Transmitter

Law360, New York (May 26, 2011, 3:07 PM EDT) -- Belkin International Inc. and Target Corp. were hit with a putative class action in Illinois state court Wednesday for alleged misrepresentations in making and selling a defective device for using MP3 players with car stereos.

Named plaintiff Kristina McClure says Belkin International Inc.'s TuneCast Universal FM Transmitter broadcasts so much static that it effectively renders the audio content of iPods and other MP3 players unlistenable.
