O'Quinn Can't Bar Fields Howell From Coverage Row

Law360, New York (May 26, 2011, 5:31 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge on Wednesday refused to disqualify Fields Howell Athans & McLaughlin LLP from representing excess insurers that allegedly owe O'Quinn & Laminack coverage for a class action over its billing methods in breast implant personal injury lawsuits.

Judge Kenneth M. Hoyt denied O'Quinn's motion to bar opposing counsel Fields Howell from representing defendants Gulf Insurance Co. UK Ltd., Zurich Specialties London Ltd. and Lloyd's of London underwriter Hiscox Syndicate 33, ruling O'Quinn had failed to allege any specific factual similarities between the claims...
