BofA, Barclays Appeal Dutch Court’s Decision

Law360, New York (May 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Bank of America Corp. and its British counterpart Barclays PLC have reportedly appealed a Dutch court decision that suspended BofA’s $21 billion purchase of ABN Amro unit LaSalle.

BofA and Barclays filed separate appeals with the Dutch Supreme Court on Tuesday in the hope of overturning a lower court ruling that froze the $21 billion sale until ABN Amro’s shareholders could vote on it, according to Dow Jones.
