Ex-LNR Execs Sue Over Unpaid Severance Pay

Law360, Washington (May 31, 2011, 4:43 PM EDT) -- Three former LNR Property LLC executives sued the real estate investment firm in New York state court Thursday for millions in severance pay they claim was unjustly denied in breach of their employment agreements after they were fired without cause.

Ex-LNR Chief Financial Officer Stephen Ferguson, general counsel James Whitlow and chief human resources officer Illeanne Rukes allege that their terminations came along with separation agreements that offered “only a fraction of what is clearly owed to them” under their respective employment contracts.
