Food Service Cos. Lose DOD Contract Protest

Law360, New York (June 1, 2011, 5:11 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has shot down a protest by a pair of military contractors over the terms of a solicitation for food distribution services, according to a ruling made public Wednesday.

In a ruling that was issued May 13, GAO General Counsel Lynn Gibson held that U.S. Foodservice Inc. and Labatt Food Services LP failed to show that the U.S. Department of Defense modified the solicitation for the contract in a way that clashed with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
