11th Circ. Tosses FCA Suit Over $87B Lockheed Contract

Law360, New York (June 2, 2011, 1:56 PM EDT) -- The Eleventh Circuit on Wednesday upheld the dismissal of a suit by a former Lockheed Martin Corp. engineer who accused the company of using subpar materials for an $87 billion military fighter jet contract, ruling the claims were too vague.

The court said relator Darrol Olsen’s False Claims Act allegations against Lockheed weren’t specific enough to survive a Georgia court’s decision to throw out the case in September.
