O2Micro Patent Ruled Invalid

Law360, New York (May 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Monolithic Power Systems Inc. won a big victory Tuesday when a jury ruled it did not infringe one of O2Micro International Ltd.’s inverter controller patents.

The jury found that O2Micro’s patent was invalid due to obviousness and on-sale bar, meaning MPS was likely selling the product in question at least a year before the patent filing date.
