FAR Council Weighs Reform Of Acquisition Rules

Law360, New York (June 3, 2011, 4:02 PM EDT) -- The Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council announced plans Friday to review and reform existing acquisition regulations, including those for contractor past performance and small business set-asides, in an effort to make contracting rules less burdensome and more effective.

The review is being undertaken to comply with an executive order signed by President Barack Obama in January, titled "Improving Regulation and Regulatory Review," according to a Federal Register notice.
