Security Co. Sues Army Over Terminated Iraq Contract

Law360, New York (June 7, 2011, 12:38 PM EDT) -- Torres International LLC hit the U.S. Department of the Army with a lawsuit in Virginia on Monday, claiming the Army arbitrarily axed its contract to provide security services in Iraq without first considering an alternative dispute resolution.

Torres International claimed the Army abruptly terminated its contract on June 1 even though the Arlington, Va.-based company had repeatedly attempted to address the Army's concerns about its contract performance.
