Hair Salon Giant Nears Settlement With Calif. Stylists

Law360, Los Angeles (June 7, 2011, 3:34 PM EDT) -- Hair stylists suing salon giant Regis Corp., the company behind Supercuts, in a 1,750-member class action claiming violations of California employee pay laws filed a motion in federal court Monday seeking final approval of a $750,000 settlement.

Minneapolis-based Regis operates nearly 10,000 U.S. hair salons under names such as Supercuts, Sassoon Salon, Regis Salons, Mastercuts, SmartStyle and Hair Club for Men and Women.
