Pearson Escapes Injunction In Photo Copyright Suit

Law360, New York (June 7, 2011, 9:46 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge refused Tuesday to stop Pearson Education Inc. from communicating with members of a proposed class of photographers who filed a copyright infringement suit alleging the textbook publisher printed their photographs without permission.

U.S. District Judge James C. Francis IV denied a request for a preliminary injunction and sanctions by Norbert Wu, the photographer who brought the suit on behalf of himself and other photographers in September.
