Tory Burch Awarded $164M In Counterfeiting Case

Law360, San Diego (June 10, 2011, 9:42 PM EDT) -- Tory Burch LLC announced Friday that a New York federal court awarded the luxury brand retailer a whopping $164 million in total damages after finding that operators of hundreds of websites sold knock-off versions of its ballet flats and other accessories.

The company claims the judgment is the largest award the fashion industry has ever received in its fight against online counterfeiters.
