Northwest Gets Nod To Fly Out Of Bankruptcy

Law360 (May 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal bankruptcy judge has given the green light to Northwest Airlines Corp.’s amended reorganization plan in a move that will allow the carrier to emerge from bankruptcy on May 31 following a 20-month stay in Chapter 11.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Allan L. Gropper on Friday approved Northwest’s joint and consolidated plan of reorganization after two days of hearings over whether the amended plan should be approved on Wednesday and Thursday.
