'Got Money' Producers Sue Lil Wayne For $1M

Law360, New York (June 13, 2011, 1:19 PM EDT) -- The co-producers of Lil Wayne's Grammy-nominated "Got Money" duet with T-Pain sued the rappers in New York federal court on Thursday for joint ownership of the track and $1 million in damages after an anticipated licensing deal never materialized.

Juan Carlos Salinas Jr. and Oscar Salinas, known as Play-N-Skillz, accused the two rappers and their recording and distribution companies of co-opting their musical track that backs the vocals on the song and of failing to compensate them for their work.
