France Telecom Hits Canal Plus With Complaint

Law360 (May 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- France Telecom has reportedly launched a legal campaign against Vivendi SA subsidiary Canal Plus SA, filing a complaint with Europe’s competition watchdog that accuses its rival of anti-competitive behavior in the French pay-TV market.

France Telecom said Friday it was at the beginning of a procedure against pay-TV company Canal Plus for failing to meet some of the 59 commitments the company made to the French finance ministry during its merger with rival satellite TV platform TPS last year, Dow Jones reported.
