Microsoft Pays $536 Million To Settle Antitrust, Patent Litigation

Law360, New York (November 8, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- In the latest of a string of settlement deals for Microsoft Corp., the software maker has agreed to pay a $536 million to end antitrust and patent infringement litigation brought by Novell Inc. and a trade group in the European Union.

As part of the agreement, Novell and the Computer and Communications Industry Association agreed to withdraw their litigation against Microsoft in the E.U.
