NY, Sandwich Maker Reach Record $5M Wage Deal

Law360, New York (June 14, 2011, 6:19 PM EDT) -- The New York State Department of Labor said Tuesday it reached a record $5.1 million settlement with restaurant chain Lenny's: The Ultimate Sandwich for alleged wage violations affecting more than 800 workers.

The deal, which ends an agency investigation into alleged minimum wage and overtime violations at the New York City company, is the largest recorded settlement for workers in the history of the state agency, it said.
