Trial Opens In Case That Could Threaten Princess Diana's Charity Fund

Law360, New York (November 8, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- An adverse decision in a long-standing trademark and right-of-publicity dispute between Princess Diana’s charity fund and memorabilia maker Franklin Mint could spell the end of the troubled fund, according to published reports.

The case was supposed to get underway with jury selection in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, but the opening of the trial was postponed until Wednesday, according to a court clerk.
