Hershey Tags Radisson With IP Suit Over Hotel Moniker

Law360, New York (June 17, 2011, 6:45 PM EDT) -- Hershey Co. on Friday accused Radisson Hotels International Inc. of infringing its trademark and asked a Pennsylvania federal court to block Radisson from using the Hershey name on one of its hotels near the chocolate company's amusement park.

Hershey, the confectioner, resort operator and namesake of Hershey, Pa., alleges that Radisson and its franchisee Penn Lodge Partners LP violate its intellectual property rights by dubbing one of its nearby hotels the "Radisson Hotel Harrisburg Hershey."
