Warner, Artist Settle 'Hangover' Tattoo Copyright Suit

Law360, New York (June 21, 2011, 5:07 PM EDT) -- Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. on Tuesday reached a settlement in Missouri with an artist who said a character in the hit movie "The Hangover Part II" sported a tattoo that infringed a copyrighted design he created for boxer Mike Tyson.

The studio and S. Victor Whitmill, who designed Tyson's distinctive face tattoo, filed a joint motion to dismiss the suit, which Whitmill filed in April.

"Warner Bros. and Mr. Whitmill have amicably resolved their dispute. No other information will be provided," the parties said in a joint statement.
