Squawk Box Brokers Face Retrial On Conspiracy

Law360 (May 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of former brokers at Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc., Lehman Brothers and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. will be retried for conspiracy, according to the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.

The former brokers have been accused of giving day-traders access to private trading information via internal "squawk boxes."

Also among the defendants facing retrial are four current and former executives at day-trading firm A.B. Watley Inc., including its president and a former compliance officer.
