U.S. Sues Newspaper Companies Over Merger

Law360, New York (May 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A newspaper merger between the Daily Gazette Company and MediaNews Group Inc. in 2004 was entered into for anti-competitive purposes and should be undone, the U.S. Justice Department charged in a civil antitrust lawsuit filed Wednesday.
