Drivers Oppose UPS Transfer Of ERISA Suit

Law360, New York (May 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in an ERISA class action against UPS Ground Freight Inc. are attempting to block a move by the ground shipping company to transfer the case from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to the Eastern District.

Thousands of former and current UPS linehaul drivers asked the Northern District of California on Tuesday to deny the transfer of the case, claiming that shifting the case from San Francisco to Fresno would waste time and money and would breach the interests of justice....
