Political Groups Must Pay $1.7M Over Stanford Donations

Law360, New York (June 23, 2011, 1:55 PM EDT) -- Three Republican and two Democratic political committees must pay more than $1.7 million to cover contributions they received from alleged $7 billion fraudster Robert Allen Stanford, a Texas federal judge ruled Wednesday.
