Foreign Defendants Named In Iran Military Parts Case

Law360, New York (June 23, 2011, 3:45 PM EDT) -- A Georgia federal judge on Thursday unsealed charges against eight foreign defendants who allegedly plotted to ship parts for attack helicopters and fighter jets to Iran, a day after an Iranian-born U.S. national in the case was sentenced to 56 months in prison.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Marc T. Treadwell granted a request from prosecutors to unseal a superseding indictment, filed June 16, in a growing international procurement network case that has already snared four U.S. defendants.
