Disbarred Atty Pleads Not Guilty In $9.5M Investor Scam

Law360, Los Angeles (June 27, 2011, 9:36 PM EDT) -- Disbarred lawyer Mark Roy Anderson pled not guilty Monday in California to allegedly bilking investors out of approximately $9.5 million after promising massive profits for investments in oil companies he was staked in.

A 17-count superseding federal indictment added five additional wire fraud and identity theft charges Monday against Anderson, who now faces six counts each of wire fraud and money laundering, three counts of securities fraud and two counts of aggravated identity theft.
