Dell, Citigroup, Others Sued Over Web Security IP

Law360, New York (June 28, 2011, 7:01 PM EDT) -- Patent-holding company Secure Axcess LLC on Monday sued a slew of companies — including Dell Inc. and Citigroup Inc. — in Texas federal court, claiming their websites infringe a patent for creating secure network connections online.

Secure Axcess alleges that Dell, Citigroup and 10 other companies have used patented technology for key-based secure network user states — which grant a user secure access to a computer network and keep the user's information encrypted.
