Google Ups Ante In Fight Over Microsoft Cloud Contract

Law360, New York (June 28, 2011, 6:21 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. on Monday urged a federal court to permanently block the U.S. government from awarding a $60 million cloud computing contract to Microsoft Corp., pointing to emails that allegedly show the government decided in advance to award Microsoft the deal.

The U.S. Court of Federal Claims issued a preliminary injunction in January that prevents the U.S. Department of the Interior from awarding Microsoft a five-year, sole-source contract to integrate 13 agency email systems, but Google said two email exchanges since added to the administrative record...
