Ex-Dewey Atty Fails To Trim SEC Insider Trading Claims

Law360, New York (July 1, 2011, 5:29 PM EDT) -- An ex-Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP employment lawyer on Friday lost his bid to trim a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission suit in New York alleging he traded in the stock of companies whose acquisitions he helped advise.

Todd Leslie Treadway, formerly an associate in Dewey's employee benefits and employment practice group, made $27,000 on two trades based on inside information about buyers and sellers in major deals, the SEC alleges in its suit, which was filed in early March.
