Rolls-Royce Fights Discovery Motion In FCA Suit

Law360, New York (July 5, 2011, 7:21 PM EDT) -- Rolls-Royce Corp. on Tuesday rebuffed a former employee's request to compel additional discovery in a False Claims Act suit in Indiana over allegedly defective aircraft engine parts sold to the U.S. government, saying that it had already provided the requested documents.

The company said that the whistleblower, former Rolls-Royce engineer Curtis Lusby, merely wished to stave off the company's forthcoming summary judgment motion, rather than raising an actual dispute over the documents provided in the eight-year-old case, according to a filing in federal court.
