Nokia Latest Target In Text Messaging Patent Feud

Law360, New York (July 12, 2011, 6:50 PM EDT) -- Helferich Patent Licensing LLC sued Nokia Corp. in Illinois federal court Monday alleging the telecom's cellphone messaging systems infringe the plaintiff's seven patents for automated text messaging services

HPL's lawsuit claims that the Finnish company has, in the past six years, manufactured and sold mobile devices with text messaging functionality that infringes at least 59 separate claims of the patents asserted in the complaint.
