BP Wins Dismissal Of RICO Claims In Spill Suit

Law360, New York (July 15, 2011, 5:07 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Friday threw out racketeering claims from multidistrict litigation in Louisiana over BP PLC's Deepwater Horizon oil spill, ruling that the plaintiffs couldn’t show that BP’s alleged defrauding of safety regulators directly caused them economic harm.
