Judge Denies New Bond For CEO Who Fled Trial

Law360, New York (July 15, 2011, 6:35 PM EDT) -- A Georgia federal judge on Friday declined to reinstate bond for the former CEO of Conversion Solutions Holdings Corp. after he allegedly went on the run near the end of his trial for a pump-and-dump scheme.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Batten Sr. said he could not reinstate bond for Rufus Paul Harris because there was no guarantee the convicted fraudster would show up for sentencing after fleeing just before he was convicted in May.
