Mattel Seeks To Nix Artist’s Bratz Copyright Claims

Law360, San Diego (July 19, 2011, 4:28 PM EDT) -- Mattel Inc. on Monday asked a New York federal court to dismiss an artist’s claims alleging former designer Carter Bryant stole the idea for Bratz dolls from his sketches, arguing that his copyright infringement claim was time barred and his unjust enrichment claim was unsupported.
