Ex-Salander Director Sentenced To Weekends On Rikers

Law360, New York (July 19, 2011, 6:45 PM EDT) -- The former director of shuttered New York art gallery Salander-O'Reilly, convicted of looting clients out of $5 million, was sentenced Tuesday to spend weekends at Rikers Island prison for the next four months.

New York Supreme Court Judge Michael J. Obus also sentenced Leigh Morse to five years' probation and ordered her to make $1.65 million in restitution to victims after a jury convicted her in January of selling more than 80 works of art without telling clients.
