Toyota Can't Shake JibJab Copyright Ad Suit

Law360, New York (July 20, 2011, 4:31 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday refused Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc.'s second attempt to nix a suit from humor website producer JibJab Media Inc. claiming the automaker's President's Day sale ad infringed its copyrighted viral videos and trademark.

U.S. District Judge Manuel L. Real denied the car company's motion to dismiss JibJab's amended complaint without explanation.
