Wolters Kluwer Ruined Employee's Co., Judge Told

Law360, Los Angeles (July 20, 2011, 8:09 PM EDT) -- A man hired by Wolters Kluwer NV to help launch its Emanuel Bar Review testified Wednesday in a breach of contract trial in California that executives at the legal publisher and a subsidiary tricked him into destroying his own bar review business, then fired him within a year.

In the second day of the bench trial, plaintiff Daniel DeSario told U.S. District Judge George H. Wu that Wolters Kluwer and subsidiary Aspen Publishers Inc. promised long-term employment with the company and 15 percent of the profits...
