ABC, Others Seek Toss Of ‘Ugly Betty’ Copyright Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (July 22, 2011, 5:20 PM EDT) -- Units of the Walt Disney Co., ABC Inc. and others asked a California federal judge on Friday to toss a suit claiming they stole ideas for the TV show “Ugly Betty,” saying the plaintiff has refused to cooperate with discovery in the case.
